Who we are

Local Link In is an independent decision-advisory service based in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Local Link In; “you” means the person or organisation engaging us. What we provide

We provide independent research, analysis, and a written advisory opinion on a decision you are considering — typically a school or college choice, a family relocation, or a corporate retreat. Every final report is reviewed by the five-member LocalBench. What you receive is judgment, clearly reasoned and clearly sourced.

What we are not

We are not an agent, broker, admissions consultant, event planner, or property dealer. We are not a law firm, a financial adviser, a valuer, a structural surveyor, or a medical service. We do not transact on your behalf, hold your money in escrow, or represent you to any third party.

An advisory opinion is not a guarantee

Our reports state what we could verify, what we could not, and where judgment was applied. Conditions on the ground change — institutions, roads, seasons, regulations, and people all change. A recommendation is our reasoned professional opinion at the date of the report. It is not a warranty of any outcome, and the final decision, together with its consequences, remains entirely yours.

Independence, and its limits

• We accept no commissions, referral fees, listing fees, or incentives from any option we evaluate
• We hold no listings and no preferred partners
• Our only revenue is the fee you pay us
• If a conflict of interest arises, we disclose it and, where necessary, decline the assignment

Your responsibilities

The quality of our advice depends on the accuracy of what you tell us. You agree to give us honest, complete information about your situation, priorities, and constraints, and to tell us promptly if they change. You are responsible for conducting any formal legal, financial, structural, or medical due diligence we identify as necessary, through appropriately qualified professionals.

Fees, payment, and scope

Each service has a published starting price. Final pricing is confirmed in writing against your agreed scope before work begins. Fees are payable as set out in that confirmation. Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately, and never started without your approval.

Cancellation and refunds

• Cancel before research begins and you receive a full refund
• Cancel once research is underway and we refund the portion of the fee for work not yet performed
• Once the final report has been delivered, the fee is non-refundable
• If we conclude we cannot serve you well, we will say so and refund you in full

Your information

We collect only what an assignment needs, and we protect it. Your identity is never shared with LocalBench members. Full detail is in our Privacy & Security policy, which forms part of these terms.

Our reports are for you

Reports are prepared for you, for the decision described, and are confidential to you. You may share a report with your family, your advisers, or your colleagues. You may not republish it, sell it, or present it as an endorsement of any institution, property, venue, or vendor. We retain copyright in our reports and methods.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fee you paid us for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you take that depart from our written advice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Dehradun, Uttarakhand have exclusive jurisdiction. If a dispute arises, we ask that you raise it with us directly first — we would much rather fix a problem than argue about one.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service develops. The version in force for your engagement is the version published on the date your scope was confirmed in writing. Material changes will be noted here with a revised date.
